Mimi inside flow about

HOLA!
I'm Mimi! I teach yoga, specifically Inside Flow and Power Flow. I like to move my body intentionally to feel connected to myself. Off the mat, I enjoy goofing off with my husband (Chris), dog (Valentine aka V-Dawg) & cat (Ellie G named after Ellie Goulding). I’m obsessed with reading books and drinking sparkling water.

Three random facts about me:

1. I generally eat everything with a spoon (yeah, it’s not good for steak).
2. I love rainbows - they’re an amazing optical phenomenon!
3. I work at an optometry practice but spend most of my time at work playing cards and pranks on coworkers.

I first discovered the magic of yoga in college - noticing that I felt better afterward. The practice of yoga was an occasional booty call up until 2010 when we made it official. I believe you can learn from anyone but official schooling includes RYT200 (405 Yoga), RYT300 (Matt Giodarno), and Inside Flow (Rebecca Rasmussen).

For me, the practice of yoga is harnessing your concentration and moving inward. It starts with understanding how your body - this profound practice can create ripples in how your mind works and waves into your daily life. In my class, you can expect to learn more about your body/mind, moving (physically & mentally) with intention, all while having fun and hopefully a laugh occasionally. We practice yoga to become better humans, not to become better at yoga.

I’ve guest taught in Washington DC & Kansas. I’m a co-facilitator at 405 Yoga’s Teacher Training, assist with Inside Flow USA Teacher Trainings, and serve on the Chromatic Yoga Board.
